One of the most obvious man-made features on Mount Washington, the Cog Railway ascends a major western ridge of the mountain, with Burt Ravine to the left, and the slides of Ammonoosuc Ravine to the right. A single cloud floats over the ridge; some of the summit buildings make the peak’s highest point.
